MGM Morales-Giles

SARA DE GILES DUBOIS, graduated from the E.T.S.A. of Seville in 1998, begins to work the same year as Associated Teacher at the Architectural Projects department. She shares the professional office MGM, Morales, Giles, Mariscal with Jose Morales Sanchez, and Juan Gonzalez Mariscal.

She has been visitor teacher and lecturer in diverse Spanish and foreign universities and institutions among which it's worth highlighting: Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaíso (Chile). Universidad Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona (España). Institut Français d’Architecture, Paris (Francia). Escola da Cidade. São Paulo. (Brasil).

The work of MGM architects has developed especially on the basis of the first prizes obtained in ideas competitions, which reflects their investigations concerning public architecture. We can highlight the building for the Instituto Cartuja de Técnicas Avanzada en Medicina of Seville in 2008 and the Headquarters of the Foundación Arquitectura Contemporánea and arrangement of San Pablo block of Córdoba in 2010, among much others. They have been finalists for the Mies Van der Rohe Prize, for the National Prize of the Consejo Superior de Arquitectos de España of social housing and for the FAD Prizes. Mention in the Wallpaper Design Awards, best new public building, nominated in the Detail Prize, finalist of the Swiss Architectural Award, among others.

The work of MGM has been exposed both in the national and international areas, among which it's worth highlighting the Venece Architecture Biennale, in the years 2000, 2002 and 2006. His work has been widely published in books and national and international architecture magazines. Likewise monographic books have been published on his work and projects.
